Driving

Georgetown offers visitor parking in the Southwest Garage, which is accessible via Canal Road, and in the Leavey Parking Garage, which is accessible via Reservoir Road.

  • Southwest Garage: From downtown Washington, follow M Street until it becomes Canal Road. From Arlington, cross the Key Bridge, and turn left on M Street NW. After passing the gas station on your right (just beyond the Key Bridge), turn right at the next traffic light to enter the university. Follow the access road up the hill, and you will find the entrance to the Southwest Garage (marked “visitor parking”) on your right. Parking is available on an hourly basis or for a flat daily rate. Cars must be moved from the garage no later than 6:00 a.m. the following morning. Please note that the garage only accepts cash payments, and payment is paid upon entering the garage. After parking, exit the garage via the elevator on the wall opposite where you entered the garage, which brings you to the Southwest Quad.
